Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to work on projects aimed at understanding a variety of available data sets and problem statements, and building insightful dashboards and analytics to solve for them. The ideal candidate will possess a strong core understanding of data, tools, and the thought process around understanding and analyzing data.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as SQL, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
- Design and implement data models to support business reporting needs.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing analytical processes and data quality.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- X years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or analytics role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with large datasets and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies are advantageous.
